Privacy & Ownership

In plain language.

This page is a plain-language summary for anyone considering the beta. It does not replace, and is not more authoritative than, our Privacy Notice and Beta Terms — both currently in draft, pending outside counsel review.

What Navigator Atlas is

A private beta that helps you organize selected photos, places, notes, dates, and trip memories into a personal Atlas. You choose what to add. You remain the primary decision-maker about what it means.

What this beta is

Early and private — not a finished public product. It may change, break, or lose features. Please don’t treat it as your only copy or permanent archive; keep your own copies of anything important.

Photos and metadata

Photos are optional. If a photo carries hidden details like date, time, or location, the Atlas may use that to help place it in a trip or Moment. Skip or avoid location information that feels too private to you.

What we ask you not to bring

A few categories of material aren’t appropriate for this beta — see our Current Private Beta page for the complete list.

No facial recognition, no default AI judgment

The Atlas is not intended to scan faces, identify or match people, or build biometric profiles. The current beta does not use AI to decide what a photo or memory emotionally means — you remain the one making that call.

Feedback

Feedback helps us improve the product internally. We will not use your name, quotes, photos, screenshots, or stories publicly without asking you separately first.

Your choice

Participation is voluntary. You choose what to test, what to skip, and what to share.
